Sunday remains the Lord’s Day, wherever His children happen to be (Lam. 3:22-23; Heb. 10:24-25).
Greetings in Christ,
In response to the information and desires of both our President, Vice President, the CDC, Governor, Department of Health, along with National and State Leaders, Dedicated Medical Personnel, First Responders and Caregivers, we are making plans to offer our Church Services to our Church Family and General Public through means and advances of technology in an effort to do our part to help curb the impact of the Corona Virus.
- PLEASE do your part to apprise yourself and others you can of the latest developments from www.coronavirus.gov, specifically our Presidents “15 Days to Slow the Spread” Plan.
For the foreseeable coming weeks, all of our Church Services will be, Lord willing, Livestreamed from our Church Office. Disclaimer, we are NOT professionals, and are very appreciative of your graciousness as we learn some of these new ways to serve together.
Occupancy in our physical Office Suite will be limited to 10 or less persons while conducting all Services. If you are well, please be faithful if you are involved in ministries that need your presence during our Service times. Look for information from our ministry leaders to help you navigate the upcoming weeks.
If Church Families desire to gather together at each other’s homes to watch the service together feel free to do so, keeping in mind best practices for social distancing recommendations, please be encouraged to fellowship safely together. We leave this to your individual discretion.
I do encourage each of you to PLEASE, PLEASE reach out to each other frequently and call each other, message each other, especially those who are more susceptible to the impacts of Covid-19. If a need arises, call me, text me, email me, please let me know, I AM AVAILABLE and WILLING to help you in any way I possibly can. Please help encourage one another, WE WILL COME THROUGH THIS, and we will be better and stronger for having endured the trial (James 1:5).
Please help and encourage all of the folks you know working tirelessly in our medical fields and our first responders. If you are able to help them, even with things like offering childcare or meals, please do so, and let me know if you need any help making things happen.
When Sunday morning comes, let me encourage you to get up and get ready for church just like you normally would, commit the time unto the Lord, and be prayed up ready to join the Service when it begins. We need your prayers. If you would like to help us with managing the technology or anything else, please let me know, we will need all the help we can get. At your home, try the technology ahead of time to make sure you can navigate to the Stream, and that the audio is working properly. Set it up early, and then when the service goes live, you will have a few moments to make any adjustments before we begin.
- NOTE: If you would like to opt in to text message updates, please text the word BBCupdates to 84576. You can then receive important updates and reminders from us as needed.
Ways to Watch the Livestream:
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get connected with our Service, and are trying to push the Stream to multiple resources and platforms, e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Faithlife TV, etc. Our hope is that if for some reason one or the other doesn’t work, then a different approach will.
- From any internet browser, go to www.broomfieldbaptist.org/livestream to view the service online.
On Facebook, whenever your friends or people you follow start Facebook live video streaming, it appears in your News Feed, and you can watch it there. So if you are on Facebook, make sure you are following our Facebook Page.
To view the Service on our YouTube Channel, go to https://youtu.be/A-Ch9h259QM (this should also work on smart devices like TV’s that have a YouTube App, Apple TV, Roku, Sling, etc.)
How to Connect to Our Faithlife Church Group:
Go to https://faithlife.com/broomfield-baptist/activity and click the “Follow” button to create a free Faithlife account if you don’t already have one and be connected to the Group. Otherwise login to your Faithlife account and search for Broomfield Baptist, then “Follow” or “Join” our group. Here you will be able to see the latest updates, Digital Bulletins, Sermons, etc.
Ways to Continue to Support the Ministry:
First, many of you have been an encouragement to me by letting me know that you are praying for us. Please continue to pray, the Lord hears and answers prayer. Beyond that, I would be remiss to ignore the fact that our ministry relies on the benevolence and generosity of those who believe in what we are doing for the Lord. Please consider supporting us through this difficult time, as it will make it that much easier for us to continue to reach out and help others in very meaningful ways. The more resources we have in our storehouse through the faith-giving of God’s people, the more we can be a blessing to those who might need it most in the upcoming days. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!
Many of you have asked me about being able to give when we cannot physically assemble and are concerned about seeing the ministry move forward, and it can be challenging to make sure that your Tithes and Offerings can still be given each week. Hopefully, one of the following methods will make it easier for you to continue supporting your local Bible preaching church in Broomfield. We plan to have an instrumental offertory during our Livestream, so feel free to use one of the methods below to give then, or any other time you feel led and are able to do so. "The Lord loveth a cheerful giver."
- You can use Online Giving – 2 Options are available, you can give securely through Aplos or Faithlife Giving, by clicking the button on our Website, you will then be taken to a secure external site fully encrypted to process your gift. Let me encourage you to please consider covering the transaction fee so that the church receives the full amount you wish to give, if you are able to do that. We are more than willing to cover the cost if needed, but are very thankful if you can help with that overhead.
- Or, you can Text to Give – Simply text the word Give with the amount (e.g. Give 100) to (720) 909 8841.
- Or, if all else fails, you can always Mail a Check – If you prefer, simply mail your gift to the Church Office, or if you are able during business hours, just come by and drop it in the mail slot on our Office Door at 80 Garden Center, #9, Broomfield, CO 80020.
In closing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything, or have any questions about the all the information contained in this update. Much is happening at a very rapid rate on a daily, sometimes hourly basis, but we remain vigilant, and are asking the Lord for stamina as we work together to overcome these challenging times.
